Why are the Pyramids not mentioned in the Bible?

“What if the whole story of the Exodus from Egypt was a fake story, and what if we could prove that it is?”

Exodus Gods and Kings film-5-2

By Dr. Ashraf Ezzat

There wasn’t a time when I did not feel uneasy about the story of the Israelites’ Exodus from Egypt. Actually, being uneasy is an understatement, for I was always irritated by this notorious story of Moses and the Pharaoh of Egypt. Somehow, this Israelite tale couldn’t seem to fit in the history of ancient Egypt or my mind. Unlike most people, I couldn’t take this awful tale for granted.

Whenever we say ‘the Exodus’ everybody unconsciously and instantly recognizes the story as the fleeing of the Israelites headed by Moses from the grip of Egypt’s ruthless Pharaoh. Thanks to the Church, the Synagogue, the Mosque, and of course Hollywood films this Exodus story has sunk deep into the collective subconscious of the masses, so deep that the story of Moses and Pharaoh has turned into an almost unshakable historical truth that everybody believes took place in Ancient Egypt.

But actually nothing in the ‘milieu of that story’ indicates that it happened in Egypt, except maybe the mistaken association between ‘Pharaoh’ and ‘King’ of Egypt, a false correlation that needs to be untangled and cleared out in the collective subconscious.

Likewise, nothing in ancient Egyptian records or its oral tradition say or even allude to the fact that this tale of Moses happened in Egypt. Even more shocking is the fact that the ancient Egyptian records do not refer to the Kings of Egypt as Pharaohs. Yes, Pharaoh was never a title for Egypt’s king. Linking Pharaoh to Ancient Egypt is merely a myth propagated by centuries of falsehood brought about by misleading interpretations of the Bible, mainly the Septuagint Bible (the source of this malicious lie that deceitfully linked ancient Egypt with the Israelite stories)

The only reason we know the story of the Exodus happened in Egypt is that the Bible says so. We keep on believing that is the case because mainstream Egyptologists just went along with the Biblical narrative and absentmindedly designated Egypt’s Kings as Pharaohs. But if we examined the Hebrew text the Bible (currently in our hands) used as a reference we will strangely not find Egypt mentioned in it as the site/land of the Exodus story.

The whole mess/deception took place during translating the Hebrew/Aramaic stories into Greek back in the third century BC. This is when Egypt was first hijacked and forcibly placed in the Hebrew Bible as the theater of the Israelite landmark stories.

Ironically this whole act of duplicity took place on Egyptian soil and specifically at its legendary library of Alexandria. The product was a book of lies about ancient Egypt, called “ the Septuagint Bible” …. The main source of all the ancient Bibles around the world, the Coptic, Armenian, Slavonic, Ethiopian, and of course the Roman.

But what if the Bible as we know it has long been tampered with?

What if the first western translation of the so-called Israelite stories, which came to be known as the Septuagint Bible, was a distorted translation?

What if the Israelite stories we all have been made to believe took place in Egypt simply did not?

What if Egypt was fraudulently introduced in the Bible as the theater of the Israelite stories?

What if the homeland of Judaism and the early Israelites is not Palestine?

What if ancient Egypt never knew any so-called Pharaohs?

What if Abraham, Joseph, and Moses never set foot in Egypt nor even dreamed about it?

What if the whole story of the Exodus from Egypt was fake, and what if we could prove that it is?

Have you ever wondered why are the Egyptian Pyramids and temples not mentioned in the Bible? Do you know that Egypt is mentioned in the Bible around six hundred times? The number is phenomenal and perplexing at the same time, for no one can revisit Egypt that too many times and never refers to one of its ancient icons; the Pyramids.

On the other hand, do you have any idea how many times Israel/Israelites were mentioned in the Egyptian records? Get ready for this surprise; only once. Don’t jump to any hasty conclusions; this is not our evidence that Egypt was not the land of the Exodus; rather this is a prelude to our investigation (as detailed in our book, “Egypt Knew neither Phraoh nor Moses)

We were spoon-fed the idea that the Israelites were kept in bondage for almost 400 years (some say 260 years) in Egypt, and yet all of their stories are devoid of any trace of Egyptian influence. Moreover, and to our amazement, slavery was not a common practice in ancient Egypt in the first place. Unlike the pervasive culture of slavery in the Israelite stories, ancient Egypt never had a public market for trading slaves. And if slavery was not a common practice in ancient Egypt, how did slavery-based stories like that of Joseph and Moses ever take place in ancient Egypt?

Everything about ancient Egyptian culture; its art, architecture, monuments, people, theology, mythology, and the pantheon of gods is uniquely strong and influential even to this very day. After such a long sojourn in the land of the Nile Valley, one would have expected to find some trace of Egyptian cultural influence in the Israelite history and narrative, but that was hardly the case. Though the Israelites only spent around seventy years in the Babylonian Captivity, still that short period was documented by both the Israelites and the Babylonians, and reference to it is also found in the Persian records.

On the other hand, the Hebrew Bible claims the Israelites sojourned in Egypt for hundreds of years and yet we fail to find any extra-biblical documentation or mention either of the Israelite sojourn or their exodus in the Egyptian records, or non-Egyptian for that matter.

There wasn’t even any mention of the Pyramids, one of the wonders of the ancient world, in the Israelite stories. You can’t stay that long in Egypt without taking note of the Pyramids. Most foreign historians and military leaders who came to Egypt from late antiquity onwards like Alexander the Great, Strabo, Diodorus Siculus, and of course Herodotus were keen to mention and document their memories and commentaries about the famous site.

“The eighth king, Chemmis of Memphis, ruled fifty years and constructed the largest of the three pyramids, which are numbered among the seven wonders of the world” Diodorus Siculus (90 – 30 BC), the library of history.

But when it comes to the Israelites their Hebrew Bible is completely silent about not only the Pyramids but also any feature of ancient Egyptian culture or architecture.

Seventy years of captivity in Babylon have left its mark on the Hebrew culture, the Hebrew Talmud, and the Hebrew Bible. Themes from Sumerian and Babylonian mythology like that of the flood, Adam and Eve, and the tree of knowledge can be traced in the Hebrew book. Even parallels could be drawn between the birth legend of King Sargon of Akkad and that of Moses.

The four-hundred-year sojourn in Egypt should have left its mark on the Israelites and their culture, but that is nowhere to be found because they have never been to Egypt. And no, the argument that claims the Israelites refrained from being affected by pagan beliefs and culture can’t be considered valid, for all sorts of Sumerian, Assyrian, and Babylonian (pagan) cultural influences are jammed into their Torah.

The not-so-infrequent comparison between King Akhenaten’s monotheism and that of the Israelites is also invalid in essence for the Jewish cult is tribal, militaristic and lacked (actually forbade) any genuine artistic manifestations while that of Akhenaten was universal in nature (built on ancient Egyptian belief in a supreme God) that was celebrated by works of revolutionary art and architecture. Besides Akhenaten’s Aten was an inclusive deity that embraced all his children and not just one specific tribe of the desert.

No matter how hard you dig into the Israelite stories you will not find any Egyptian influence, not a speck of impact, except maybe the mention of the word Pharaoh. And guess what; Egypt never knew any Pharaohs either (how about that for a hard-hitting revelation).

“Re-examine your old beliefs” to find out how they they have come to define you. Indeed we are limited, if not pre-conditioned, by our old beliefs and stories. As they once carved our past those same old stories keep on shaping how we view the present. Only the critical scrutiny of some of our old beliefs will decide if they will keep their (unwarranted) authority over us in the future.

If you are a truth seeker and would like to unearth the truth that has been blocked for over two thousand years, you will want to read Dr. Ashraf Ezzat’s ebook “Egypt Knew neither Pharaoh nor Moses”.

We have been spoon-fed lies for too long. It is time we weaned off it.

    1. The shrine of Hatshepsut, (the female king) discusses the murders of Hebrew first born in Egypt. Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmose I is Moses Mother and began her reign in 1526 BCE. Her tomb is in Deir el-Bahari far south of Cairo.

      1. Nonsense, there was no mention of any Hebrews (first, or second-born, for that matter) at any of Queen Hatshepsut’s temples/shrines. This is a wishful speculation by biblical scholars who are trying hard to stick the Exodus into ancient Egyptian history by any means or cost. It is pathetic how distorted your perception and interpretation of the story are. Egypt knew neither Pharaoh nor Moses.

I suspect, by the name of the author AND the idea that the bible has been “mistranslated” and “tampered with”, that this is written from a Muslim perspective. It is current Muslim propaganda that any perceived “contradictions” between Islam and the bible are merely because the bible has been “tampered with” (an easily refuted claim.)

Besides, you are pitifully misinformed and have been spoon-fed “false dogma”. To your knowledge, the so called Hebrews were polytheist for centuries. The Greek’s couldn’t read Hebrew script and the Scholars were making up fantasy every day! They rewrote Sumerian, Phoenician, Hittite stories as their own! The greatest con job in the history of mankind! As a christian I believe that the Old Testament was NOT written by GOD, nor is it the word of God. We see history being rewritten today (Nazi Germany) because it’s offensive or too painful to believe that people would do that to each other. Could be that Egyptians went the route that Germans and many others are going today. Erasing the truth so we don’t have to deal with it. Maybe that’s why there are no mentions of Jews in Egypt. From Egypt’s POV.

  4. Hi Ashraf, this is another mind-bending essay! I wish more people asked questions like you do!!

Considering that the Great Pyramid was the most important structure in ancient times (and probably of all time), it certainly begs the question, i.e., why doesn’t it feature more prominently in the Bible? Well, it probably does feature in the Bible, but we just haven’t recognized it as such.

The Bible does in fact make a big deal out of the so-called “Tower of Babel.” Today, we assume that this was a Mesopotamian ziggurat. However, a closer reading of the Book of Genesis indicates that this was not originally the case. In other words, the first Tower of Babel was the Great Pyramid.

Note: If the original construction of the Great Pyramid dates to the end of the last Ice Age, then it obviously was far older than the ziggurats of Mesopotamia.

Scholars have already noted that the first mention of Babel and Shinar in the Bible is associated with the genealogy of Ham (Gen.10:6-10) and the regions of Egypt, North Africa and Arabia. It stands to reason that Babel and Shinar only came to be associated with Mesopotamia at some later time (and as a deliberate reflection/repetition of the topography of Egypt). For example, the later city of Babylon was not devoted to the Egyptian god Ra (of the Great Pyramid), but to a completely different god called Marduk. However, it seems that a king playing the role of Ra, specifically Sargon the Great, also chose to appropriate the role of Marduk for himself, and this served to link these two gods in terms of future role playing, such as by the “Moses-figures” Hammurabi and Akhenaten, Certainly, the Biblical character of Moses embodies aspects of both Marduk and Re. Moses also leads “his people” to Mt. Sinai, which (according to author Ralph Ellis) was originally associated with the Great Pyramid, but later became associated with other locations with future renditions of the drama.

Note: It is possible that Marduk is related to the Mesopotamian god Sin, who was not originally or exclusively a moon god, but more generally associated with the violent actions of Marduk, which resulted in the creation of the Earth (and perhaps also our moon).

Like Babel/Babylon, the name Shinar probably also originally referred to the fertile land of the Egyptian Delta and to the region hosting the Great Pyramid. Etymology of the name Shinar is difficult, but does have connotations that relate to fire and the Greek word pyramid, “fire in the middle.” Shinar also has probable etymological links to the god Sin as well as Sinai.

Another subtle element in the account of the Tower of Babel is the mention of using fired bricks in the place of stone. The ziggurats of Mesopotamia did make use of bricks, whereas the Great Pyramid was made of stones (or at least reconstituted limestone blocks). This is a very subtle allusion being made by the author of Genesis to the archetypal structure in Egypt! The “forced labor” of making of bricks is of course also an element of the Moses story, and whether or not one accepts the attribution by Josephus that these bricks were for the building of pyramids. It is also not necessary to conclude that the people being forced to make bricks (with or without straw) were Jews. The sobriquet of Hebrew simply designated, “one who crossed over.” It is usually assumed that the Hebrews of the Bible had crossed over from Mesopotamia to Egypt, but according to the Bible it was actually only Abraham (and then Jacob) that made that journey. The royal family routinely moved groups of people around. Jews were not ‘special” in that regard! The point is that all those pyramids, temples and other monuments didn’t get built by themselves. People got “oppressed” and some of their descendants may have even become Jews. It’s not something that should be used to gain a political advantage today! It would be like Donald Trump using Mexican immigrants to build his wall and then creating a “chosen people” out of it.

Note: One purpose of the Old Testament was to divorce Judaism from Egypt (and perhaps also Arabia). However, a hint of that former connection is still preserved for those who were entitled to understand it, i.e., the royal family. This divorce took place during the dynasty of the Ptolemies in Egypt, and at which time the Old Testament began to take shape.

Building the Tower of Babel is depicted as an act of rebellion (“sin”/Sin) in the Bible. God is described as being threatened by puny earthlings and shuts it down! It is implicitly the building of the brick tower that is condemned, but what about the earlier and more magnificent stone version in Egypt? Is the Bible also suggesting that the Great Pyramid was not fully completed before disaster struck it? That is a reasonable conclusion, and it seems to be confirmed by the practices of later kings/”pharaohs.” For example, Amenemhet III constructed an enormous complex at Dahshur only to abandon it. Imagine the frustration and anger of the workers over the complete vanity and futility of the effort, especially if it was never intended to be used, but only to emulate the setbacks of the “gods.” This is, in fact, not the story of the Jews, but of all of us. Humanity has been subjected to futility in order to experience the thrills and terrors associated with the advancement of intelligent life in the galaxy for ourselves. It has been two steps forward and one step back from the beginning. Our creators could have maintained us “in the garden” indefinitely. But, no, we have been required to learn the hard way. As above, so below!

    1. Mr. Pope,
Your knowledge is vast yet not without its flaws.
Linking the Pyramids to the ToB is more than a stretch.
      1. The ToB was destroyed, yet here the pyramids stand today.
      2. Towers are cylindrical, square, or rectangle. Not triangles.
      3. Towers have observation platforms as they were designed for wathcers to be stationed at the top to be able to identify threats from a distance. To take this a step further, there are no corridors to reach the top of the pyramids internally, which shines a bright light in your claim that the Pyramids were intended to be a tower.
      4. The pyramids are made of quarried cut stone, not man made bricks.

And to say the Pyramid was Mt. Sinia is asinine in my opinion and construes the thought that the ancients were too stupid to know the difference between a built structure and a geological formation.

Whomever built the Pyramids show extraordinary knowledge of mathematics and engineering precision that astounds modern day structural engineers.

They were not built by slaves or Egyptian Kings. The forensic archeological evidence suggests the Pyramids are Pre-Deluvial and predate the Egyptian Civilization by thousands of years. The much Newer pyramids built across Egypt that can be attributed to E Kings are crumbling shambles of stacked stone, more of an attempt to copy the Great Ps.

Zacharia Sitchen goes into great detail using both the original Hebrew text, historical records, and archeological evidence that covers both the Pyramids and the ToB in his books on the Anunnaki. These are excellent books and in my opinion bridge the gaps of the gaping holes contained in the Bible. Holes made more vast by the English translations.

May my critique of your comment encourage you to expand your thinking.
      Good day Sir.

  5. I am astonished at a blunder that Dr. Ashraf Ezzat makes in this video! At about 7.30 minutes, he claims that the Nile is never mentioned in the Bible. The Nile is mentioned MANY times in Exodus alone, as anyone can google.

    1. The words “Nile”, “Pharaoh” and “Egypt” are all falsely (and maybe deliberately) mistranslated from the original Hebrew/Aramaic version of the OT. As for the Nile River, the name Nile is not explicitly mentioned in any Bible, not even KJV. But the (distorted) western translations (like the English in your case) most often translated the Hebrew YEOR as the Nile (a blatant deception). So in a nutshell, all the western translations, including the English one you are citing from, are fake versions of the so called Hebrew Bible. All your thoughts and convictions about Ancient Egypt had long been tailored by false translations of the Israelite stories. This deception is exposed in details in my book.

      1. Thank you for your reply. But the Jews read the Tanakh in its Hebrew language (completely independent of the Greek Septuagint), and they find “Egypt” and the “Nile” repeatedly occurring (e.g. Exodus 1:1). You stated that the mistakes arose in the Septuagint translations, didn’t you?

      2. Very good, Dr. Ezzat, now you are getting closer. Do you know the origin of the Hebrew word “Yeor”? In Hebrew it means “stream” or “canal.” But a similar word in a language from which the Hebrew is derived describes the body of water as a “pond, pool, or watering place.” The word is not a description of a great river like the Nile. That was pure guess work on the part of the scribes who composed the Old Testament texts.

      3. פַּרְעֹה is the hebraic root word used in Genesis 41:1 which translated in Greek Φαραω as “Paroh” which is defined as “a title for Egyptian kings”. This is the same hebraic root word used all throughout genesis, exodus and the Torah when speaking about Egypt. Egypt is also not mentioned in the bible because it was called “miṣ·ra·yim”. It is funny, you say Egypt is not mentioned verbatim and you are correct, however most places in the ancient world have not always had the same name as they do now; which is commonplace knowledge as described in most historical literature. The great pyramid of Giza is not mentioned in the bible as pyramid, its mentioned as “pillar” and clearly identified in Isaiah 19:19. The Giza pyramid’s coordinates corroborate this placement between lower and upper Egypt. I pray that you will come to the truth and continue to research all aspects with an open mind and heart.

  6. Preachers generally don’t teach much ABOUT the bible. There’s a lot the Bible doesn’t say anything about. It never goes in depth about anything, so it’s merely topical. That’s it.
Just like mentioning someone may not be specifically that person, but all those that follow him. Say Lot, he m at have had a thousand peopk a bit they’d be counted as being Lot.
Why didn’t Jesus talk about the Americas, unless it’s the beast to rise up out of the sea, which is possible. As Atlantis is said to suppose to rise up. But the Americas were unheard of and over time did rise up from the ocean as a continent and nations.
The tower of Babyl was destroyed, but I doubt it reached above 10,000′, which if the atmosphere was the same, a person would need oxygen. Yet we’re told we’ve landed on the moon. So why hasn’t we been destroyed, why wasn’t the space shuttle referenced. Again I’ve never seen us take off not land on the moon, I’ve only heard stories of it.
Again the Bible doesn’t begin to tell of anything in depth. Everything’s superficial.
I could elaborate, but you get the picture. There’s symmetry of ideas being conveyed. Which the bible wasn’t out together until the 4th century, which one of the criteria was anybook to go into the n.t. had to cross reference the o.t. Which there’s obvious heretical books than other books that didn’t meet the criteria so weren’t included in the Bible canon. Yet are considered possibly true and called extrabiblical writings. Then in the East. Orthodox, there’s holy tradtion, which passes on things taught orally as St. Paul references in Thessalonians I think, obey us in word and epistle.
Face it, too many aren’t serious about their faith or their ill equipped.
But it isn’t easy for a preacher, as different people perceive things differently then some look for ways to exploit the faith.

I appreciate your thoughts. I have been interested in this part of the history mainly because my father was a minister and I read the Bible as one of my first books. In my view the Exodus story is far from reliable. It may be a mix of two historical events and a lot of folk lore. Much of the information is contradictory.
In my youth I found the history older than about 1 000 BCE to be mostly literal but at that time I trusted the history told after that date.
With some surprise I have learnt in recent years that there are no evidence even for king David or king Solomon, that there are more evidence for the kings in Samaria. Jerusalem was probably a very small town then. No monuments and no sign of a big bureaucracy.
The question comes if king David is only invented or if he is “borrowed” to be used in a wishful thinking.
I have been told that there was an Egyptian king in the Nile delta named “Duad”. Do you agree or deny this?
A less known king there is labeled “The Silver Pharaoh” due to his sarcophagus. I.a. Wikipedia claims that he had a son named Sol-Amon. Do you share this opinion?

  11. The Egypt of the Old Testament, and New, is not a real place but is symbolic of both serfdom and refuge. Do we even know what name the ‘egyptians’ gave to their country? I am also following an interest in the origin of the seven day week. Could it be more to do with the shelf life of bread rather than the solar system? These subjects are so fascinating

    1. As far as can be read in the Old Testament the Hebrews or Israelites did not have a weekly day of rest before the imprisonment in Babylon. They learned the first Genesis creation story in Babylon. It would have been totally impossible for a people living with a lot of sheeps and other livestock to avoid all work every seventh day. It is fairly obvious that the important monthly day earlier was New Moon and the next but less important was the day of Full Moon. According to the Bible Joshua conquered Jericho on the seventh day. I.e, neither he nor the later writer saw any problem with a war on day seven. If God had strongly advised complete rest on day seven just some years before he would of course have told Joshua to attack Jericho one day earlier.

    2. The name the ancient Egyptians used for their country was kemmt or Kemmet, meaning the Black Land and referring to the fertile black earth left after the receeding yearly Nile floods bestowing renewed fertile earth in the Nile Valley. Kemmet is thus also symbolic of the first island and hence wave form , or “erection”, thus of original life giving fertility and genesis from out the eternal cosmic ocean of the sky, conceived AS preceding all beging in Theorie mythology. The ancient egyptians associated the sky With Water and saw Osiris as travelling With Horus in the solar barque. This is is my imperfect recollection of it AS an Enthusiast Of ancient Egypt. I’ve sure experts could corroborate and correct this.

  12. I know why I don’t waste time reading blogs and comments. I just wasted an hour reading them. My question is what evidence would you expect to find 3000+ years after the Exodus? Bones? Clothes? Shoes? Moses’ wooden staff? Perhaps a diary of maps and with running records, dates, times, and years of when they were in the desert. I have not read the entire Exodus story for a while, but I tend to recall horrible conditions. Beyond poverty conditions for the time. It makes sense to me modern day explorers or archaeologists might not find evidence of the Biblical Exodus. Jimmy Hoffa has only been gone 40 years and we have not found evidence of him yet. If we can’t find Hoffa with modern day science what makes anyone think there really should be Exodus evidence??? I contend it is logical there would b no evidence. I mean after 3,000 years should we really find a desert people that had no food, no shelter, no water, and who dealt with 40 years of desert storms and worse…Have you ever used a sand blaster? You remove paint in seconds. A 40 year sand blast seems like that would destroy a lot of evidence you are looking for. I don’t buy we should have evidence of the occasion. Oh by the way. Vultures circled then to….not to mention sand worms, sand mites, fleas, etc…flies maggots etc

  13. Why does the Bible need to mention pyramids? Or why would the Bible mention pyramids? It is my experience that people have more pressing questions than about the pyramids. Questions like: Where did we come from? Why are there two genders? How come we eat and sleep? Why do we love or think? Why are there stars? etc… The Bible answers every important and natural question people have. There is not one reason why the pyramids need to be mentioned in the Bible. The God who created us, and Who knows us best knew there was no reason to mention the pyramids so He stuck to what we need to know, not what may be interesting to know!

    Like

    1. Why the Bible needs to mention the Pyramids. Well, simply because your Bible is laden with stories that we are told/made to believe happened in Egypt. Take Egypt out of your Bible and the whole structure of the so called “Judeo-Christian” cult will crumble to the ground (of earthly truth). A divine revelation needs not tell humans facts about biology and cosmology (we have gone so far in that regard on our own) instead, a true revelation should lead us humans to enlightenment, tolerance and unity (the things organized religions have miserably failed to bring about)

  14. First of all, there are multiple Egyptian influences on early biblical culture. The Ark of the Covenant has its Egyptian antecedents. The Temple was built in an Egyptian style (the way the columns were styled, having a holy of holies, etc.) But more than that, looking at conventional scholarship to find or not find the Exodus is an exercise in futility…because conventional chronology is off by a few hundred years, due to the third intermediate period of Egypt being artificially inflated by having the 21st and 22nd dynasties be sequential instead of overlapping.

Google “patterns of evidence”. The Exodus itself (and the preceding period of sojourn) actually fits quite well into a 12th dynasty Egypt setting, after the pyramids were built.

    1. The (so called) Ark of the Covenant and the (so called) Temple have absolutely nothing to do with Ancient Egypt. They don’t even have anything to do with (down to earth) history and archeology. However, both have everything to do with brainwashing dogma/fantasy and Ancient Arabian (Bedouin/nomadic) culture. Messing around with Egyptian chronology is the real exercise in futility.

    1. If “Allah” is really mentioned three thousand times in the Qur’an then that should indicate/prove that “Allah” must be an essential theme in the Islamic history, so essential that its presence could be tangible/discerned by scholars of history and comparative religion. While historians and archeologists have no problem linking ‘Allah’ with ‘Islamic historical finds’, they could hardly make that link between Egypt (with its ancient history and culture) and the biblical stories.

These are a few things that point to the Hebrews sojourn in Egypt.
I believe the Exodus happened several centuries earlier than indicated in the Bible.
This is why I think so many simply feel it did not occur. There looking in the right place but looking for evidence in the wrong era. PI Rameses is built on top of Avaris is the former capitol of the Hysko Dynasty & the Hyskos first migrated into the Nile Delta or Goshen if you like.

I think the Bible like all ancient spiritual documents contain symbolism mixed with historical allusions & anachronisms. The Hindj Vedas point to events that many believe actually occurred. The Troy of Homer’s Illiad existed & Troy was destroyed but if their was an Achilles there or who the warrior that may have inspired Achilles is a question. I feel this is the same for Moses & the Exodus. An event that actually occurred but the accuracy of when & who played a part in these events have been made murky by myth & legend

Following your line of thinking (cherry picking), I’m really starting to find some damning clues myself . I think Mozart, the famous German music composer, is the real Moses. I mean his name could be broken down to Mozes-Art (which means Moses who headed North to Europe) … And if that’s not strong enough as an evidence, look at his opera “The Magic Flute” where you could see how the main characters were initiated into the Egyptian mystery cult of Isis and Osiris. Pi-Ramases was built over the Hysko city of Avaris so when the Hebrews they built Pi-Ramases I believe they are speaking anachronistically. When you move the events of Exodus back to 1450 BC all the biblical events fall into place. My main point is that this theory sounds highly viable to me….and I’m not alone

  20. Dear Dr. Ashraf Ezzat, you have been called a true historian and a truth-seeker. I must say that many of the information in your book are well-know to researchers for decades, myself included. However, there is one tiny and critical part of ancient Egypt’s history that seems to be purposefully omitted when writing about this ancient civilization.

In your professional opinion what was the predominant ethnicity of the ancient Egypt, where they indigenous African (many shades of Black and Brown) as the overwhelming evidence suggests, or were they modern-Day Arabs like yourself (Essential european skin tone), Western and Alpine Europeans (Germans/British/Swedes, etc…), Red people, Aliens, or any other derivations? This question I assure you is not meant to be amusing, but one that carries serious meaning. One cannot accurately tell a story of a people, without identifying who they were.

Secondly, are you familiar with the invention of the name Egypt? Clearly, as you’ve eloquently written about the many falsifications and lies about the Exodus and Pharaohs, you must be aware also that nowhere in the text of ancient Egypt did the name ‘EGYPT’ ever come up. Was were they called before the invention of the word, EGYPT?

I would like your opinion on these critical and most vital of issues before I can call you a truth-seeker.

    Thank you. V. Wright.

Found an article on a website discussing this subject but I’ve come across other quotes concerning Israelites involved in the work of pyramid building, I’d have to hunt them out though, could take a few days lol. Just because pyramids are not mentioned in the Bible doesn’t mean the Exodus didn’t happen plus the Egyptians where adept at erasing parts of their history they didn’t like and there are plenty of examples of this and there are famous enough episodes that you should be able to find yourself.

Still some of his writings/records are extremely valuable in understanding how the ancient history of the Near East had been distorted by the then circle of power. But then we are talking about the Bible, not Jewish (duplicitous) historians. Unless of course you believe that ‘Josephus’ had a role in writing the Bible.

Then again most scholars didn’t think Herodotus was a reliable source and he received the title of the father of lies, if I recall correctly over time some of what he stated has been proved correct thus the conclusions I draw about scholarly opinion to be flawed sometimes, in fact the disbelief of such people has been proven incorrect in relation to other information concerning the ancient past I’ve came across. No I don’t believe Josephus had a hand in writing the Bible. Doesn’t Manetho state after the shepherd-kings came another set of people who where sojouners in Egypt, which corresponds to the peaceful sojourn related in the Old Testament. Also many years ago I think I came across information that the Arabs believed the Israelites also built the pyramids, I’d have to verify that but I’m sure a read that in one of the several hundred books I’ve read, so it could take a while.

      3. Plus the context of Exodus is about the Glorious Actions done by God for his people and not about the glory of Egypt thus mentioning pyramids would be irrelevant. The Exodus text is predominantly about God and the people He freed not the greatness of Egyptian architects or how big structures could be built. So it should not be surprising the pyramids are not mentioned in Exodus.

I quite agree that many scholars doubt the historicity of the Exodus story, but when it comes to the geography of this notorious tale, all of them remain adamant that Egypt is where the story of Moses and Pharaoh took place. This is exactly where Ashraf Ezzat’s new research/book takes hold as quite novel/innovative. Besides, I haven’t heard of any scholar of Egyptology (be that orthodox or independent) saying that Egypt had NO PHARAOHS. As for the ethnicity of the ancient Egyptians, a somewhat lengthy topic, I will send you my thesis on it in an email. Thank you.

    3. The word “Egypt” or “Aegyptiaca,” as written in Manetho’s history books, was most likely derived from the original word for the Copts, who today still form 10% of the Egyptian population. Egypt was therefore “Land of the Copts.” The word for the location of the Exodus was “Merse” according to Josephus, or “Misr,” in the Quran. Misr is an Akkadian word and the original meaning is a military outpost, where a governing body is established. Over time, even hundreds of years, that location could become a city-state. Today’s Egypt is called Misr in Arabic. The important factor, is not the Hellenized or Romanized name of Egypt, but the evidence, archaeological, linguistic, etc., that takes us to the correct locations. Too many people make the mistake of thrusting their own theories on the texts, and not allowing the texts to speak for themselves. The Quran never names the location of the Exodus as “Egypt.” It was Misr, which could be any military outpost, turned city-state, going back 5,000 years in an Akkadian-speaking world.

As for the ethnicity of Egyptians, it was a melting pot of various peoples who settled there, particularly around the Delta, and that included Africans, Europeans, and Arabs.

      1. Your information couldn’t be more wrong, and I’m afraid this is the sort of propaganda sold by the same people who sold us the fake Exodus story. I patiently await Dr. Ezzat thesis to read his take on the issue. However, there is ABSOLUTELY no evidence of Europeans in Ancient Egypt, none whatsoever. In fact, the color differentiation is so vivid on those walls of ancient illustrations that–in over 6000 years of ancient Egypt illustration, there is not a single European type–not one.

Dr. Hawass is guilty of intellectual negligence as many images we know today have been faked and altered on his watch. This deceptive Pseudo intelligentsia from the same people who have been sold nothing but lies about their actual history, which must align sadly with the ‘Master Race’ ideological nonsense. There were only two times in ancient Egypt when the ethnicity changed, the first was with the Hyksos Dynasty, and from imagery, they were more black than European, and the second was after the conquest by the Macedonian Alexander. The Hyksos had similar hair type and facial feature as the indigenous ancient Egyptians, and their dynasty only lasted 100 years, give or take. They erected no edifices of grandness that Egypt is know for, and most importantly, they adopted the traditions and cultures of those they conquered. Something which was repeated by the Macedonia Ptolemy Dynasty and Rome starting around 300 BC…

Furthermore, the Europeans of today as we know, the blond and blue eye concept of whiteness did not appear anywhere in antiquity, not in entire Arabia, not even in ancient Greece. Please familiarize yourself with ancient Greece potteries–they are quite revealing. I’m European and very proud of my heritage, but what I will not do, out of supremacy ideology is to steal or adopt someone else’s history. I’m an academic, integrity, not racial hubris, is my honor code. Both the modern-day Jews and Europeans have cause irreparable damage to our human history out of plain supremacist ideology. It’s time to stop! Again, I patiently away Dr. Ezzat thesis, I’m certain it is worthy of the wait.

Anyway seems the Egyptian literature has a text that refers to the tradition of seven lean years in Egypt but I stress again seeing you ignored it, the Egyptians removed unwanted aspects of their history when it suited them and this is demonstrated several times by modern archaeology and it is no surprise there is no record of slaves successfully bettering there masters, Egyptians rewrote history when it suited them.

It is where the Nile ends its journey in Africa and reaches the Mideterian see. The Bible also tells us that they were there for 400 years. They where called Hebrews in Egypt and later were called Israelites and Jews after they returned to Palestine.

    5. Quite a response to my explanation of verifiable terminology! When I was referring to the ethnicity of today’s Egyptians, I was referring to the period after the Macedonians. I was also considering the period after the invasion of the Sea Peoples, whose material culture can be traced to the Adriatic. The Sea Peoples settled all along the eastern Mediterranean coastline of the Near East. Their influence could be felt during the last millennium BCE.

You seem more interested in proving the racial composition of Egyptians going back, it seems, five thousand years, and are basing it on images found on walls of ancient structures. Of course those images show a more African ethnicity. I am an anthropologist. I do understand the ancient history of the Near East. Hopefully, you will get the answers you are seeking from Dr. Ashraf. A true scholar looks at all the evidence, not bits and pieces, and that evidence is not limited to Egypt.

      1. Your response proves my point. Imagine telling the story of Rome, and starting at the moment of the German Barbarian invasion. This is typical of European narrative driven by supremacy ideology. The Macedonia contributed NOTHING to ancient Egypt–nada! So, why are we in the western hemisphere so focused on them? That answer must be answered by you–to yourself. A scientist follows the evidence no matter where it leads. I will reserve my opinion about Dr. Ashraf after reading his thesis. Western version of history is a long list of lies and distortions propagated by western “academics.” We are now involve in the arduous process of correcting these intellectual fraud–as Dr. Ezzat himself has done with his book. Kudos to him.

Before you accuse me of what my interest is, perhaps you should learn to follow the evidence. I’ve done so. It works wonders. Ancient Egypt is the contentious topic in human history, because Europeans, Jews, and Arabs work in unison to distort this very vital part of human history. It is the only part of human history that the above mentioned ethnic groups seem to disregard with the abundance and irrefutable amount of material evidence, by using nuanced words. You wrote, “Of course those images show a more African ethnicity,” a nuanced way saying they are not really African without really not saying it. From your argument, I would guess you are of European heritage, and thus, the thought of the most impressive and advanced civilization in human history being of what we know today as “black people” must irks you the wrong way as it did me, and many of us growing who learned these people were “monkeys on trees.”

I have looked at the evidence thoroughly, and I will debate any academic on open forum who says otherwise. There is no doubt that ancient Egypt was of African origin, and African dominated until the invasion of the Macedonian. Everything we admire and cherish was built by them. The moment you are ready to fully absorb and accept this factual statement, you would adhere to the code of ethics we all swear by to follow the evidence, and not to skew fact to fit a narrative of our world view. The western civilization has recorded incredible achievement in the last 300 years, and would never allow anyone to take that away from us. We shouldn’t try to take away the achievements of others.

You assume I am Eurooean and have some sort of attitude of racial superiority against Egyptisns. This is a very bizarre response. Actually, I am of pure Near Eastern heritage, and agree with you that the distortion of history by the Jewish scribes in Palestine has done irreparable damage and the further distortions by the Byzantine Empire to the religious hustory of the Near East has done even more harm. My research is simply focused on cirrecting that. I have been researching this over twenty years and have written several books on the subject.

Ancient Egypt for instance had 42 of them in the ‘Maat’ code of ethics (thousands of years before the tale of Moses). If we are to talk ‘comparative religion’ we will find the concept of the ‘afterlife’ is at the root of ancient Egyptian beliefs, whereas the Judaic cult and dogma primarily hinged on land grab through genocidal military raids (that do not follow any moral commandments, let alone that of Moses). That’s typical of the violent tribal traditions and culture that gave birth to ‘Judaism’. Form my perspective, the comparison here is STRIKINGLY implausible (LOL)

This new research points to the strong possibility that the Exodus occurred but not at the time or in the way the mythologized Exodus story in the Bible Indicates.

  24. Dr. Ezzat, while you are correct to question the story of the Exodus from Egypt, you should be aware that the majority of archaeologists already know this. The entire history of the Near East does not match the biblical version of events. The Quran confirms that the Jewish scribes who wrote the narrative, took the stories out of their correct location and chronology. There was an exodus, but it was not from today’s “Egypt.” During the third millennium BCE, there was a civilization in southern Iraq that was connected to the earliest civilizations in Egypt. In fact, ancient Egyptian texts claim that southern Iraq, the lands of the Sumerians, was where their ancestors began. It is not a coincidence that writing commenced at the same time among the Sumerians and Egyptians, since they lived side-by-side.

As for the Israelites, they were originally Arabian shepherd-Kings who gradually settled in Mesopotamia when drought and rivers dried in the Arabian Peninsula. The stories of the patriarchs are confirmed in the Quran, with a huge difference from the biblical version. The prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) had an Akkadian name, meaning “friend of God.” The Hebrew texts claim that was his name. The Quran places the prophet Yussef (Joseph) in upper Mesopotamia, and the Hebrew texts give him an Akkadian title in an Akkadian world, because the Akkadians were the true Hebrews. The prophet Musa (Moses) had an Akkadian name, and the Quran places him in the territories that include the northern Euphrates and the entire Persian Gulf. If you haven’t seen it in the Quran, then you are not looking at it carefully. Hebrew, like Aramaic, evolved from the original Akkadian. Even the name Adam was an Akkadian name.

As for Palestinian Jerusalem, it was not Suleiman’s (Solomon’s) Jerusalem. That one existed in Mesopotamia and was destroyed. In the fourteenth century BCE, Palestinian Jerusalem already existed and had strong ties to Egypt. It became the second Jerusalem. The name Jerusalem is actually a Sumerian name made up of two Sumerian words. The Prophet Ibrahim did exist, and was obviously fluent in both Sumerian and Akkadian. The evidence lies in one passage of the Quran. The biblical stories are nonsense, but they were based on true historic events that took place in Mesopotamia. I published a book on the subject in 2004, titled “The Exodus in the Quran,” which places the Exodus in ancient Sumer and pinpoints the exact location of the events. The Arabic translation was published in Syria in 2010. The Quran’s version of the biblical narrative matches perfectly with archaeological discoveries. Unfortunately, no one is looking carefully at the Quran.

Was there a conspiracy to alter religious history over thousands of years? Absolutely. I wrote about it in detail in my book, “Unveiling the Messiah in the Dead Sea Scrolls.” If you think the stories of the Old Testament were distorted, you should read how far the Byzantine Church went during the third century, to hide the truth about Christianity’s “Jesus,” Was he the Messiah ‘Isa mentioned in the Quran? Not at all. The biblical version was based on a few episodes in the life of the real Messiah ‘Isa, but once again, the Jews of Palestine distorted the truth, and the Roman Empire found it convenient to go along with it. Was the real Messiah ‘Isa born in Palestine? Not at all. I take the reader to the exact location of his birth.

      1. It is no surprise that some (not all) Israeli archaeologists still try to squeeze any evidence they find to justify the Exodus out of Egypt in the biblical time frame. Their efforts are no doubt rooted in their desire to justify the creation of their state, based on a mythical biblical narrative. Dayan mentions, for instance, the writings of Ipuwer, who laments the overthrow of Egyptian rulers during a revolution in Egypt, as evidence of an Israelite conquest in the biblical time frame of 1300 BCE. What she doesn’t tell her audience is that Ipuwer’s original text was written about a thousand years earlier, and the one discovered was rewritten in a more modern time frame. Papyrus texts had to be rewritten so as to preserve them over centuries, a common practice among scribes. A revolution did take place in Egypt by foreign conquerors around 2300 BCE, and those were the armies of the Prophet Musa (Moses), who conquered all the lands from the Euphrates to the Nile (promised to the seed of Ibrahim/Abraham). The Israelites were all over the Fertile Crescent and Egypt. They ruled Egypt as pharaohs during the century of Hyksos rule (1650-1550 BCE). They were not slaves in today’s Egypt. When the Egyptians evicted them, they settled in Palestine and are the ancestors of today’s Palestinians. Archaeological discoveries all confirm that the Israelites were part of the Canaanite world for over a thousand years before the biblical time frame. Linguistic studies all confirm this. Dayan and archaeologists like her are living in a dream world, hoping to reshape history to suit their own political agendas. The armies of the second Musa (Moses) re-conquered the same territory, from the Euphrates to the Nile, 1400 years ago, establishing the Caliphate. The majority of Israelites became Muslim, fulfilling biblical prophecies and Hebrew literature.

      1. The Egyptians and Sumerians influenced one another. In the tombs of third millennium Egyptian kings, archaeologists have unearthed artifacts that were clearly from Sumer. The Egyptian-like burials in the Royal Cemetary of Ur shows that there were cultural contacts. More recently, scholars have concluded that writing among the Sumerians and Egyptians happened simultaneously. One did not precede the other.

As for the belief that Egyptians had little connection to the rest of the Near East, simply because they practiced their own culture and religion, perhaps you are not aware of the recent genetic analysis published in the scientific journal Nature Communications. Genetic material extracted from 151 mummies excavated at Abu Sir al-Malaq in Middle Egypt shows that ancient Egyptians were closely related to the various populations of the Levant, and shared some DNA with people in contemporary Europe. What the scientists found was remarkable genetic continuity. They also found that unlike the current populations of Egypt and Ethiopia, ancient Egyptians shared very little ancestry with sub-Saharan Africa.

Archaeologists also concluded that the Hyksos (1650-1550 BCE), who ruled as pharaohs for a century and did not invade Egypt as previously thought (they settled there), were most likely from the Levant and Syria. Once evicted by later rulers, that is where they returned.

Also, a study published in the American Journal of Human Genetics, in which aDNA was extracted from Middle Bronze Age II Canaanites, revealed that the Canaanites of the Levant and Phoenicia (4580-1750 BCE) were a mixture of regional Neolithic populations and migrants from the east who were related to Chalcolithic Iranians.

One cannot place the various populations of the Near or Middle East
into compartments, separating one from the other. One has to look at the genetics, the cultural contacts, the linguistics, and find the thread that connects them. Religious literature like the biblical narrative was clearly distorted, fudged, and fabricated, but tossing it out as irrelevant is like throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Within every ancient text there is a kernel of truth. One simply has to find it and connect the dots.

  25. As best I can determine, all mainstream archeologists (including those who are Jewish) agree that there is not a shred of evidence that there were ever any “Israelites” in Egypt during biblical times. In the book of Exodus, Egypt appears to be little more than a backdrop for Moses to perform a series of miracles and feats of magic – at the behest of an angry god. The story has all the ingredients of mythology, and is simply to unbelievable to be anything else.

All mythology is written according to a formula, which involves using the names of people, places and things (sometimes real, usually fictitious) to symbolize and represent valuable information which is hidden beneath the superficial narrative. This hidden information usually involves scientific principles relating to astronomy, mathematics or other information they wish to keep secret – such as a formula for making gunpowder, etc. In ancient times, then as now, knowledge was power – and warfare was constant. The priestly class kept a nation’s technological knowledge recorded for their own use, but secret from their enemies, by use of a duplicitous writing style to compose mythologies.

The practice of composing mythology goes back to the very beginnings of recorded history. For example one of the oldest Sumerian gods, named Enki, interacted with people only through his 2-faced “minister” named Isimu. Isimu is a fictitious name the author of the story about Enki uses to describe himself, and the “2-faced” description of Isimu means the composition has 2 different meanings. In other words, the hidden meanings of mythology are not meant to be understood by the common man – indeed, quite the opposite. Since the Book of Exodus is clearly written as mythology, there is no pretense of openly conveying any truthful, factual information. The useful information is cloaked, hidden beneath the superficial narrative of the story. None of the people named in the Book of Exodus are real people and never existed. Their names are used to symbolize something entirely different. I would have to do some research to be sure, but my first impulse is that “Pharaoh” is simply a re-naming of the Egyptian god Thoth – though it will also symbolize other things such as perhaps the Zodiac and precession of the equinoxes, etc.

Scripture tells us (fictitious) Abraham came from the city of UR, and from that we can know that Abraham is a re-naming of the patron god of UR – whose name in the Akkadian language is “Sin.” The Sinai Peninsula, Mount Sinai, etc. are named after the god Sin. Sin was called “Lord of Wisdom,” same as the Egyptian god Thoth. Thoth had the epithet “Thrice Great” (the word “great” is a metaphor which means “the sun”). The written symbol of the god Sin was a sun on top of a tripod. Clearly Abraham is the god Sin, and Sin is the god Thoth. If followers of Christ are called Christians, then followers of the god Sin would be called “Sinners.” Now, what do “sinners” do? They write mythology – or said another way, they write scripture. The “seed of Abraham” is the seed of Sin, and the seed of Sin is the seed of Thoth. The seed of Abraham are the “Sinners.” The seed of Thoth are also sinners. What I’m explaining here is that the Book of Exodus, like all the rest of the Old Testament, was written by Egyptian sinners called the Priests of On. On was a town located 10 miles northeast of modern Cairo, called by the Greeks Heliopolis, which means “City of the Sun.” The “seed of Abraham”, “Children of Israel”, etc. are fictitious names made up and used by the Priests of On to describe themselves.

Now, are the pyramids mentioned in the Book of Exodus? Well, the Great Pyramid of Khufu is a mountain of stone, literally a man-made mountain. So the word “mountain” is a nice metaphor to symbolize the great pyramid. Are there any mountains mentioned in Exodus? Mount Sinai immediately comes to mind, and since it is named after the god Sin, this name already creates suspicion of being metaphorical. To take this line of thinking further, we can use a little help:

(Matthew 17:20) “. . . . I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain “move from here to there” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you ”

To gain anything useful from this verse, a riddle must be solved: “how do you move a mountain?” Well, that’s pretty easy: you simply re-name it. For example, if you change the name of the Pyramid of Khufu to Mount Sinai, you will have moved it. And if you change the name of Mount Sinai to The Pyramid of Khufu, you will have moved it back. Now, who would be capable of “hiding” the Pyramid of Khufu? The “mustard seeds.” Due to its bright yellow color, mustard is a metaphor which symbolizes the sun. And a “seed” is one of those Priests of On. “Mustard seed” is a metaphor used to symbolize a Priest of On, and “Mount Sinai” could be and probably is the Great Pyramid.

The Book of Exodus didn’t simply appear as if by magic out of thin air – it had to have been composed and written by a real, living human being. My best guess is that Exodus was actually written by Imhotep, who was the most prominent High Priest of On. Imhotep takes on the name of “Moses,” and interjects himself into the story-line of Exodus while he is writing it. In brief, Exodus is a story about Imhotep (Moses) in opposition against the god Thoth (Pharaoh) – where Imhotep (seems to) ultimately prevail. And if you are the one writing the story, why not make yourself appear to win the contest? Referring again back to Matthew 17:20, if you are a “mustard seed,” nothing for you is impossible.

    1. I opined that Moses is a characterization of Imhotep, which allows the author of the story to enter into his own narrative and play around with Thoth. But everything has 2 meanings. Moses is portrayed as a law-giver, teacher of how to worship the gods, instructor of what to eat, etc. This portrayal is also the description of Osiris. So Exodus may be better understood as a contest between Osiris (Moses) and Thoth (Pharaoh).

First of all not all mythology is agenda alot are not like egyptian and sumerian/babylonian or canaanite or ancient arabian due too the fact that they are Older and had no bias against their neighbors and were sharing unlike the hebrews who were outcasts. The thing is that many of people had time and energy into reality not Fiction Lies to Create into on their wishful thinking.

Thoth is not moses or the fake pharaoh of the jews like abraham or moses or noah or joseph etc. Osiris is not moses or any but at best Basis for Yahweh adam and jesus or Horus and Set for jesus. So there you go.

Your entire waste of words just makes a Fool of you. There is no Compromise only UNRESOLVABLE conflict where one side Loses and is a LIE. And the Hebraics on this and all others SCREAM that out for to see they are the DECEIVERS and LIARS they are the ones WHO ARE WRONG AND ALWAYS WERE AND ARE. WAKE UP TRUTH SLAP

      1. Fact: TRUTHANDFACTSREVEALED is a liar. I won’t cite my sources, just like you don’t because that’s how you beLIEve you “win” an argument, am I right? It’s one thing to disagree, it’s another thing to blast insults at people without any references or evidence to back up the bullshit that you push. Where did you gather you’re facts? Or do you just “feel” like everything you disagree with is wrong? In that case, I feel like you are unecessarily and ignorantly offensive in every one of your uncited posts.

      1. Thanks! It may take hundreds of years to uncover but research such as yours shows that the truth usually can be discovered. Your work obviously has vast implications for how Israel behaves towards Palestinians today which is of course sickening in extreme especially given the support Israel gets from UK and world governments.

  26. another piece of compelling evidence to add to the growing mountain that already exists to show, amazingly, that the most fundamental truths we have been forced to believe since birth are often mistakes or lies.

  28. So Jewish history has no foundation in the land called Egypt, information I came to a few years ago in old books like Lost Light wherein Eygpt or the mound, mountain is said to mean the material realm
where the human suffers trials and tribulations in the service of the creator. Is it possible that what we now think of as Eygpt was the first outpost of mankind on this planet? Where did the word Egypt come from? In the series of books by AT Fomenko and company the words Israelite and Jew have entirely different meanings than the commonly thought.

    1. How I wish we could see your work discussed more. Maybe, just maybe, with a little bit of acknowledgement that the “truth” of the Bible needs to be taken with a spoonful of salt, we could have a more rational world.
