The tale of Osiris is a short film, for children – my debut. Written, edited and narrated by Ashraf Ezzat.
The tale of Osiris /Ausir/Ausara , could perhaps be one of the world’s oldest tales/myths. Nevertheless, it stands out amongst the ancient world’s classics due to its uniqueness rather than its remoteness in time.
The myth of Osiris established the root of many themes/ concepts in the literary and religious heritage of different cultures throughout various times in world history.
Themes like … (Human’s first crime/murder amongst brothers, the mutilation/crucifixion of the hero’s corpse- like that of Christ, the loyalty of the widow and the revenge sought out by his son, the sacrifice, the redemption, the resurrection, the holy tree (like the Christmas’) all have been witnessed and reiterated in the Mesopotamian, the Greek and Christian literature .. even in our modern times we can easily detect the Osirian plot echoing through great works like ‘Hamlet’ of Shakespeare.
Be sure to watch the trailer in high defnition (HD) mode.
