Gaddafi Story Ended With a Whimper

Dr. Ashraf Ezzat

Regardless of the ambiguity that shrouded the eruption of the Libyan popular uprising, regardless of the various conspiracy theories that tried – and still are –to somehow find a hidden foreign agenda behind this armed revolution, regardless of the many apologists for the Gaddafi’s regime who elaborated on his good deeds and achievements for the Libyans during the last four decades … one simple and utterly painful truth remains, that Muammar Gaddafi held nothing for the Libyan people but sheer contempt.

On his first speech that followed the start of the Libyan uprising last February and as he was threatening to turn Libya into a bloodbath Gaddafi defiantly disparaged the rebels as he shouted “who are you, anyway?”

With the assistance of oil revenues, Libya’s small population has enjoyed one of the continent’s high rates of economic growth and social welfare and medical services but still the Libyans remained politically and educationally impoverished as the colonel always believed that the Libyans needed nothing to learn in this modern world except the whimsical teachings and political theories he laid down in his so called green book.

Gaddafi is an obvious case of a megalomaniac in power, but what has been more sickening is the shameful acquiescence of the majority of the Libyan masses to be led, like a flock of sheep, by such a lunatic.

Gaddafi liked to be referred to as “Brother Leader” but actually he has never been a brother nor a leader to his fellow Libyan citizens.

Gaddafi was a brutal dictator who squandered not only the fortunes of Libya but more importantly forty two years of the country’s modern history on sheer political narcissism and personal whims.

Gaddafi, like the case with many other Arab leaders, brutally and solely ruled over Libyans for 4 long decades, he brutally subjugated them, and referred to them as rats and cockroaches and hence his end has been no less brutal. And with a whimper, not a bang this one man-show ended.

  1. After watching a news item on the death of Gaddafi I felt sickened by the reaction of people in power and others revelling in the barbaric death of this tyrant. ‘Moral’ standards were higher after the Second World War, where even the worst war criminals had a trial. We should never celebrate barbaric behaviour because we lose our humanity if we do, we become no better than the dictators and oppressors we want to overthrow.
If we want to create a better society, respecting the rule of law we need to be very careful how we treat our enemies when we depose them.

  2. I am shocked, utterly dismayed, Dr. Ezzat, by this article. It contradicts everything I have ever read or heard about Gaddafi and his “Jamahiria,” for years, other than in, of course, the “Mainstream Media.” Far from being a “brutal dictator,” Gaddafi relinquished all power in 1978 in favor of the “Jamahiria,” or “Green Revolution.” From that time until now, he had no Libyan government role whatsoever! Libya was governed by local and regional councils in the only directly democratic political system I am aware of, anywhere in the world. By every measure, the quality of life for Libyans under the Jamahiria was the highest in Africa, and one of the highest in the world, including in education!

I never heard Gaddafi refer to his fellow Libyans as “rats and cockroaches,” although he certainly referred to the “rebels” as such, with good reason! They are!

Gaddafi wasn’t a hated dictator, but a hero for his people, who, even after his death, will inspire Libyans, and hopefully all the people of Africa, to fight on for their liberation against the brutal Zionist NATO pirates and the Antichrist United States. The “rebels” who are fighting the Libyan people and army are nothing but scum, recruited by the Americans and Europeans from the terrorist hellholes of the Middle East. Very few of them are Libyans. They come from all over the Middle East. They are commanded by Al Qaeda terrorists, some of whom fought American and British soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, and they have committed horrible atrocities against the Libyan people in this wholly fabricated “revolution.” (This fact alone, by the way, powerfully supports the now venerable contention that “Al Qaeda” is, and has always been, a CIA-MI6 “black op.”) Of course, NATO and the United States have also committed horrible atrocities against the Libyan people in this “revolution,” intentionally targeting and bombing civilians and civilian infrastructure, killing and maiming thousands.

There was no “hidden foreign agenda behind this revolution” against Libya! For anyone tracking the criminal activities of the Zionist lackey American and European regimes, the agenda behind this “Arab Spring””revolution” was blatantly obvious! OIL! But beyond oil, Gaddafi’s Libya threatened Zionist Jewish financial control of the world’s worthless fiat currency with their proposed gold dinar currency for Africa, which would have had real value, backed, as it would have been, by Libyan gold, and the Israeli monopoly of some agricultural products. It also threatened American and European fascist tyranny with its smoothly running direct democracy. Other “incentives” for NATO’s overthrow of the LIbyan regime were its amazing water resources and development, based on the largest North African underground aquifer, which promised to make Libya and perhaps all of Africa important food producers and exporters. It was Libya’s political freedom, economic prosperity and potential leadership of a prosperous Africa that threatened the “West,” not the other way round!

    • Thank you for your honest and insightful analysis! The murder of Gaddafi and the coverage of it was shameless. I felt sick at the barbaric manner this man was eliminated after being slandered. We are told he was sodomized with a knife, an occult statement that always have sexual overtones. The manner in which Gaddafi was murdered, even though the real assasins were hidden, {they} deployed the traditional muscle, cloaked as revolutionaries and standard hit. We are wiser now and {their} DNA is unmistakable because it reeked with ordo of coveteous. So, you are absolutely right, the occult conspirators worked its black magic again, coveting what is not theirs, what they have not earned and do not deserve by Divine right. Brother Nathanael Kapner writes these details:

THE BRUTAL MURDER of Muammar Gaddafi by Zionist-owned Libyan insurgents is an example of what happens to political leaders who defy international Jewish bankers Gaddafi refused to do the bidding of the Rothschild-centered global banking cartel in 5 areas:
      • A Gaddafi-Centered African Union With A Common Currency Here & Here
      • A Gaddafi-Run Central Bank Of Libya Here
      • A Gaddafi-Holding Of 150 Tons Of Gold Here
      • A Gaddafi-Run Libyan Oil Industry Here
      • A Gaddafi-Run ‘Blue-Gold’ Water Reserves Here
IN JULY OF 2011, the son and heir apparent of Muammar Gaddafi, Saif al-Islam, stated that it wasn’t just Libya’s ‘black gold’ (oil) that the Zionist West wants, but Libya’s ‘blue gold’ (water) – the some 500 miles of the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer System that lies beneath Libya’s surface. The Nubian Aquifer is the only fresh water source that remains in North Africa and thus is the focus of what has become known as “Water Wars.”
Two French water firms, the largest in the world, Veolia and Suez SA,” says al-Islam, want to own the Nubian Aquifer, since they will make countless billions in profit from food grown from the water. Both Veolia and Suez SA, like all multinational corporations, are doubtless funded by Jewish finance capital. And Louis Dreyfus International, a Jewish French firm, would apparently be the food broker.
Al-Islam points out that every IMF and World Bank loan, both controlled by Zionist Jewry, is issued on the condition that the victim-nation sells its water supplies to private investors. It appears that Saif al-Islam’s testimony against Zionist Jewry has been silenced forever as he has been reportedly encircled by the Zionist-owned Libyan insurgents on October 20, 2011, the same day his father was captured and mercilessly murdered. Gaddafi’s main threat to International Jewry’s Banking Cartel was his plan for a common African currency—the gold-backed Libyan dinar—which would have replaced the all fiat-issued US dollar, British pound, and French franc as the main currency in Africa.
Jewish banking interests were clearly at stake as the US dollar is maintained by the Jewish-run Federal Reserve Bank; the British pound by the Jewish-run Central Bank of England; and the French franc by the Jewish-run Banque de France. Is it any surprise then that the three major invaders of Libya — America, England, and France — whose Zionist-bought leaders: Obama, Cameron, & Sarkozy, are praising the brutal and slow murder of Libyan chief, Muammar Gaddafi? No its no surprise!
CALLING FOR BOOTS on the ground, Jewish president of the Council on Foreign Relations, Richard Haass, after admitting that the Libyan invasion was to oust Gaddafi via “regime change” — sought a US-led NATO occupation of Tripoli.

In a quick follow-up to Haass’ blood thirsty call, Jewish neocon Philip Zelikow, former US State Department Counsellor and 9/11 Commission Head, wrote that “Gaddafi’s fall” would spark a “Democratic Spring” (read Jewish puppet governments) throughout the Arab world. Leading the Zionist fray, it was the same Jewish sleaze balls who brought us the Iraq War through their lies about Saddam’s ‘weapons of mass destruction,’ namely, the “Project for a New American Century,” now reincarnated as, “The Foreign Policy Initiative,” who urged in their June 2011, “Open Letter To House Republicans,” the toppling of Muammar Gaddafi.
THE SIGNATORIES to the Letter read like an invitation to a Bar Mitzvah…this time a very bloody one indeed:
Elliott Abrams, John Podhoretz, Robert and Fred Kagan, Lawrence Kaplan, Robert Lieber, Michael Makovsky, Eric Edelman, Kenneth Weinstein, Paul Wolfowitz, Randy Scheunemann. And of course, the leader of the Zionist rat pack, Jewish neocon William Kristol, apparently dictates US military policy as evinced in this Fox News interview: “No we cannot leave Gaddafi in power and we won’t leave Gaddafi in power.” Kristol and his fellow blood-thirsty Jews have now seen their dream come true. In violation of both International Law and the Geneva Convention’s prohibition of the mutilation of prisoners of war, Muammar Gaddafi is now among the Zionist-murdered dead.” This is what we have become as we serve lesser gods.

  3. I am with the Colonel on this one. 99.999%.

As a Westerner, perhaps I am missing something, but I don’t think all that much. All dictators have their moments of brutality, but hell look at the records of “elected officials”. Even worse because they impose their wishes on everyone they want to control, including “brutal dictators”. And in so doing, tear down infrastructure and life styles that the so-called tyrant created for the people from sand and dreams.

No the man does not need an altar or worship but he will live on as an inspiration because he stood up against the forces of what was wrong. His biggest weakness was believing their lies when he began to cooperate.

For decades he was set up and demonized for things he did not do. IE Lockerbie. He was wanted because he did not play into the hands of the banking cartel among others. Too simply put? The basic truths are usually simple… and this was no humanitarian situation, this attack by the NATO forces and their rats.

Look at his accomplishments in uniting the people and the tribes. No, I cannot buy the things said here. Perhaps since you live in Africa you have insight the rest of us are missing, but I want to hear it in full detail first. The Egyptian media is compromised as much as that of any other part of the world….

I find your dismissal of the Libyan people and their loyalty to be unworthy of both them and you. These are not stupid people and if they follow him perhaps it is because they were quite happy with the lives they were living. Who are we to judge them either way? Certainly fighting rats bent on destruction and damage is not a sign of acquiescence but one of self protection.

  4. Gaddafi, like many other Arab leaders, is a dictator who liked to play the revolutionary.
You can’t judge the Gaddafi regime by Libya’s high GDP, for we have to give credit to the oil business for that and not for Gaddafi.
If oil is taken out of the equation, Libyans will not have much left to bargain with or talk about.

Did you know that Libya has no solid industrial projects, no agricultural plans, no proper education, no constitution, no parliament, no organized army, no tourism, no cinema, no theatre, no art schools or artistic activities, no freedom of speech, no opposition, no human rights, no freedom of the press, no participation of women in public life- except may be for the female body guards Gaddafi liked to keep around him for propaganda.
Gaddafi was more into show business than politics.
Gaddafi only liked to spit in everybody’s eyes. That what he was good for and that what he did best. But that is not good enough to turn him into a hero- who stood courageously against world Zionism.

After what happened to Saddam, he knew that the Zionist-American axis meant business and that he was next on their hit list, that’s when he declined and started dancing to their tune.
Gaddafi is a fake, he did harm to his country and to pan-Arabism- a project he was supposed to dedicate his political career for. Instead he scribbled a ridiculous political manifesto he called the green book and under the new green flag Gaddafi turned Libya into some rouge state.

Gaddafi is a psycho-pathological case; his megalomania associated with the prominent delusions has been the main feature of his legacy in power.
Any attempt to rationalize or find any coherence in this man’s legacy is a total waste of time.

For the last of his days, Gaddafi was damn sure that Obama was not the real name of the American president and moreover that he came not from an Afro-American ancestry but from some Arabian tribe and his real name is Abo-Amaama. He couldn’t remember the British prime minister’s name and he had profound beliefs that democracy is an Arabic terminology that means “people who sit on chairs” … that for most people might sound funny, but for medical professionals is a clear diagnostic sign of pathological delusions.

  5. Well, the new rulers of Libya will be no better than Ghadaffi. Nato has wasted their time doing all that bombing, killing so many people and all to what end? You think there will be any freedom of speech in the new Libya? We don’t even have freedom of speech in Canada. You said Ghadaffi is a fake. What about Obama? He is also a fake. A Communist jew poodle. After all these years, he still hides his birth certificate. You say, Libya has no proper education. Where is the proper education of the USA? They tell people in the schools that 19 arab highjackers brought the world trade centers down and they don’t want to teach students proper grammer anymore. Really education in the US is a shithouse. And the Constitution? It is getting to be more and more of a joke.

    • I’m not saying that the post-Gaddafi Libya will be better. I just say what i know.
Gaddafi is nothing but a big joke. I know the world is full of Guys like him. But we cannot and should not hold to bad guys fearing that whoever comes next might be worse.
There is hope in every change, but not every change brings hope.
